The annual conference for China’s National Mobile Laboratory Standardization Technical Committee was successfully held in Hangzhou on January 8-9. Co-hosted by Zhejiang Medointec.Co., Ltd, the event brought together top industry leaders and technical experts to map out the future of mobile laboratories.

Key Highlight: Medointec’s“Building Block” Modular Labs Steal the Show
During the conference, Medointec Chairman Mr. Du Jun unveiled the company’s innovative “Modular Mobile Lab Pod.”
He explained that the product works like “building blocks”: all components are prefabricated in a factory and can be rapidly assembled on-site. This completely solves the traditional construction problem where buildings are “fixed once built, and wasteful when demolished.” It represents a green shift from a “demolish and discard” model to a “recycle and upgrade” philosophy. Whether for emergency testing or site relocations, the design offers unparalleled flexibility. Its sustainable and reconfigurable nature earned high praise from the experts.
In recognition of their significant contributions to blending standardization with technical innovation, the conference presented Medointec’s Chief Designer, Mr. Xiao Peng, with the “Special Contribution Award.”

Key Highlight: Charting the Future with Standards and Innovation
Leaders and experts at the conference reached a consensus on the crucial role of establishing robust industry standards for mobile labs. They agreed that standards are not only essential for ensuring quality but are also the cornerstone for driving technological innovation and high-quality development across the sector.
The conference reviewed the past year’s achievements and laid out a clear roadmap for future initiatives. The former director of the Standardization Administration of China, Ji Zhengkun, also delivered a keynote speech, offering cutting-edge perspectives on the industry’s growth.

Exploring the Frontier: How AI Can Power the Next Generation of Labs
To bridge theory with practice, the committee’s experts visited two leading tech firms in Hangzhou on the second day: SUPCON and METiS. These visits provided a firsthand look at how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming industries, inspiring a fundamental shift from “experience-driven” decisions to “intelligence-led” breakthroughs. The tour offered valuable insights into how new technologies can be integrated into the standardization work for mobile labs.

Looking Ahead: Leading with Standards, Driving Progress Together
This event was more than just a meeting; it was a new starting point. Medointec is more committed than ever to its philosophy of being “led by standards and driven by technology.” The company will focus on accelerating the green transformation and intelligent upgrading of its modular lab pods.
We aim to translate our practical innovations into industry-wide best practices and will continue to work hand-in-hand with our peers to write the next chapter for the mobile laboratory industry.
